Building a test community at the BBC

In large organisations, there may be many separate test teams and testers who aren’t even aware of each other, let alone able to share ideas and learn from each other. We will talk about how the BBC went about building a thriving test community to help bring together these testers, and all the benefits we have seen from it. We will give an insight into the kind of activities we run within this community, and the lessons we have learnt along the way.

Matt has been a tester throughout his career and has experience in many industries, testing software for a diverse range of applications from fighter aircraft to mass spectrometers and from biometrics to connected TV. He has had an active part in running the Test Craftsmanship Programme at BBC North, helping to build a test community within the BBC for over 2 years.
